Drillz and Skillz travelled to Montgomery, Alabama where we worked with Carver High School.
Montgomery is rich with U. S. history. It is the first Capitol of the Confederacy during the Civil War and also home to the late Martin Luther King’s congregation. A city of great hospitality and very nice people, there is great music and B-B-Q everywhere you turn. It is also home to the Montgomery Biscuits, the double A minor league team for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Carver HS is a traditional power in Alabama high school basketball. They have been to the state Final Four the last 2 years, losing in the finals this past season. They return the 5/6 A “Player of the Year” and the future looks bright as well with more talent in the younger classes than in the upper classes.
Hopefully, this season they will get over the top.
